A Pea Blue from Bangalore



Egg of a Pea Blue from on a Crotalaria pallida plant (commonly known as Rattlepod)



Early stage Caterpillar




Caterpillar before pupation with black spots seen on them



A Pupa soon after shedding its skin from the last instar. Pinkish shade is seen.




Few days later the pinkish colour turns more brownish.




The Pupa turns dark before eclosing





The eclosed adult




It was a male. Bluish upperwing without a brownish border is seen.









The observation is made during Feb - 2017 from South India.
